Lighting
Lighting Installation in Woodway, WA
Most rooms are lit from one point in the ceiling and feel flat for it. Layering the light and fixing the switching changes a room more than new fittings. Talk it over on (000) 000-0000.
Talk it through — (000) 000-0000
Good lighting is about where the light comes from and what controls it. A kitchen needs task light at the counter rather than a bright centre fitting putting you in your own shadow. Outside, under heavy tree cover, the job is lighting the path and the steps without lighting the whole lot.
How it runs
What the job looks like
01
Look at the room in use
How and when it is used decides the layout more than the floor plan.
02
Plan layers and controls
Ambient, task and accent, grouped the way you reach for them.
03
Install and set levels
Dimmers matched to the lamps, levels set with you before we leave.
Detail
What we watch for
- Dimming that does not flicker — most flicker is a dimmer and driver mismatch, not a bad lamp
- Switching grouped sensibly — so one plate does not control three unrelated things
- Exterior light aimed down — paths and steps lit without glare into the trees or next door
- Colour temperature matched — fittings in one room consistent
Our work
What is covered
Fittings carry whatever the manufacturer offers; our work putting them in is covered for two years against installation faults such as loose connections.
Questions
Asked often
Why do my LEDs flicker on a dimmer?
Almost always because the dimmer was built for incandescent lamps and does not match the LED driver. A modern dimmer suited to the lamps usually fixes it without changing fittings.
Can recessed lights go in without removing the ceiling?
Usually. Remodel housings fit through a cut-out and clip to the drywall, so the ceiling takes small patchable openings.
